Farewell Mrs. Helen Tan
Mrs. Helen Tan Hong Neo was baptized on 29th January 1948.

1954 - 58 Founder of 1st GB KL Company.
1953 - 78 General Secretary of YWCA, KL.
1978 - 80 National General Secretary YWCA, Malaysia
1960s Head of the District Board of Management of the Ulu Klang Community Centre.
In 1960s and 1970s, together with two others oversee the wellbeing and development of our Methodist Bungalow, Fraser's Hill.
1970s - First lady to be the LCEC Chairperson of Wesley, KL.
1982 1st Chairman of Wesley Senior Fellowship.
October 1994 - Member of the 1st Committee of Wesley Home.
Served in many other capacities.

Whenever I had a chance to talk with Aunty Helen, I would sense her pride in Girls' Brigade. She had first started the 1st KL coy in the YWCA. Later she handed the company over to the Wesley Methodist church. Thanks to her, many girls have come to GB and come to hear about the Lord Jesus Christ. (taycn)
