Leaders' Recreational Leadership Training |

AIMS |
|
|
|
Recreational Leadership -- Yellow Braid:
To gain knowledge of the techniques in leading safe and
purposeful recreational activities.
To be confident and able to conduct a recreational programme. |

|
|
Practical or Assessment |
|
|
|
For each of the following, prepare a plan of a session which
would be given if called upon to do so.
Carry out the plans for 2 sessions with a group. These are to be
the girls' choice but plans must be seen by the examining person
prior to taking the session. |

|

Lead a group
(one section only or whole company) for a sing-a-long of at
least 10 minutes.

Plan and lead
the physical activities for either Cadets or Juniors in your
Company for at least 20 minutes.

Plan, prepare
and lead one craft activity in the company.

Plan and lead
at least one outing for a group of 6 - 8 Cadets or Juniors.
An adult must accompany the group.

Plan, prepare
and lead an evening of fun for any group, with a programme
of approximately 1 - 1 ½ hours.

Pre-requisites: |

YLPT should
have been completed and Gold Braid held at least 6 months
prior to taking this course.

Show
developing ability in the area of leading girls engaged in
recreational activities.

The Young Leader will be expected to contribute in discussions
and take turns to lead in presentations. She would learn more
about herself during this camp. |

|
|
At
the completion of this training, a Certificate of Merit will be
awarded to her. She is to hand this to her Captain upon
returning to her Company. The Young Leader will be observed for
a period of 6 months where she carries out the Practical or
Assessment. After this, upon the satisfaction of the Officers,
she would be awarded with the Yellow and Red Braids and the
Certificate of Merit. |

her tremendously and also be advantageous for your Company as
she returns with much skills learnt, and knowledge gained. |
